About MTS Training Academy
Our History
MTS Training Academy, Inc. (MTSTA) has been providing commercial driver training (CDL) throughout Northern California for almost 30 years!
Founded in 1996 by Michael & Paulette Brown as the training arm of Michael’s Transportation Service, Inc. (An Employee Owned Company) we have graduated over 5,000 students since our inception. We currently have six training locations, including our headquarters in Vallejo, Sacramento, Watsonville, Stockton, San Lorenzo and in San Jose to service the South Bay Area!
We offer 3 distinct CDL programs: School Bus Certi, Class A and Class B.
Not only have do we train our students them but we have a job placement rate of over 90%. Close to our heart is our re-entry population and justice impacted individuals who have found it challenging to find a career with a living wage under their circumstances. Ever since the creation and implementation of CA Assembly Bill AB109, we have been able to serve this group through training and by taking away their barriers to employment by negotiating with employers throughout our service areas to give them a “2nd Chance.”
